The general regulatory framework is the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 679/2016 on personal data protection and the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

General To use the "CJ A Illa" portal, it is necessary to be registered as a guest and accept the privacy rules detailed below, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation 2016/679) and the specific laws of the country and region where the data subject is located.

By using the services of "CJ A Illa" and accepting its privacy policy, you agree that the accommodation owner, responsible for your personal data, may store and process the personal data you provide to use the platform. In any case, guests are informed that the following processes are carried out based on the provided information.

What do we do with your data? The processing, and therefore the use of personal data, is as follows:

  • Managing reservations and stays to control and administer the stay in the accommodations.
  • Informing Authorities as required by applicable tourism and legal regulations, as there may be a legal obligation to do so, in accordance with Spanish regulations and applicable Royal Decrees, such as Royal Decree 1513/2007 of November 16, and Royal Decree 933/2021 of October 26, on the obligation of documentary registration and information of individuals or legal entities operating in the tourist rental housing market.

What personal data do we process in the application? The following data may be processed (in some regions, collecting some data is not mandatory) to manage your stay and send information to the Authorities:

  • Date of Birth
  • Country of Birth
  • City of Birth
  • Country of Residence
  • City of Residence
  • Residence Address
  • Identification Type
  • Identification Number

  • Visa Number (if applicable)

How long is the data stored? In general, we store the information for as long as necessary to perform the various processes and, at a minimum, in accordance with tourism regulations, for a period of 3 years.

To whom do we transfer the data? Any data collected by the accommodation owner will not be transferred to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • All the aforementioned processes are exclusively transferred to "CHECKIN" for the complete management of guest registration and other services agreed between "CHECKIN" and the accommodation owner.
  • The transfer of data to competent Authorities, as required by current regulations.

Do we make automated decisions? No, currently no automated processing decisions are made.

Rights of access, rectification, deletion, processing limitation, data portability, and opposition In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, along with your right to object to the automation of decisions, any user who has provided data to the accommodation owner has the following rights which they can exercise:

To exercise these rights, a communication must be addressed to the accommodation owner, either to the postal address or the electronic address provided by the owner, without prejudice to the use of any other legally valid means that allows compliance with legally valid requirements.

To verify your identity if you wish to exercise the aforementioned rights, we will need you to provide:

  • Name and surname of the interested party; a copy of DNI, passport, or similar, and if applicable, of the person representing them.
  • Purpose of the request.
  • Address for notification purposes, date, and signature of the applicant.
  • Documents supporting the request if deemed convenient or necessary.

Refusal to Provide Mandatory Information The refusal of a guest who has formalized their reservation, at the latest on the day of check-in, to inform and register their data and those of all their companions, as required by law, preventing "CJ A Illa" from fulfilling its legal obligations, is an immediate cause for the loss of the reservation and the payment made for it without any right to claim.
